Summary

TextClip does not collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers. All clips, folders, and settings are stored locally in your Chrome profile and never leave your device unless you choose to export them yourself.

1. Information We Collect

None. TextClip does not collect any personal information, usage analytics, or telemetry. We have no servers, no accounts, and no tracking.

2. How Your Data Is Stored

• All clips, folders, and AI prompts are stored locally in your browser using the IndexedDB and chrome.storage.local APIs.
• Data is bound to your Chrome profile on this device. It is not synced across devices.
• If you delete your Chrome profile or uninstall TextClip, all data is permanently lost unless you have exported a backup.

3. Permissions We Request

• contextMenus — to add the "Save to TextClip" right-click menu.
• storage / unlimitedStorage — to store your clips locally without size limits.
• notifications — to confirm successful saves and other status messages.
• clipboardWrite — to copy the AI summary prompt to your clipboard so you can paste it into the AI service of your choice.

TextClip does not request access to your browsing history, cookies, passwords, or content of websites you visit.

4. AI Summary Feature

TextClip's "AI Summary" feature uses your clipboard as a bridge. When you click the AI Summary button, the selected prompt and clip content are copied to your clipboard. You then paste this into the AI service of your own choosing (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude). TextClip does not send any data to any AI service directly, and does not require any API key.

5. Data Sharing

Because no data leaves your device, there is nothing to share with third parties. TextClip does not sell, rent, or share any user data with anyone.

6. Children's Privacy

TextClip is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone, regardless of age.

7. User Responsibility

Content you save with TextClip may include text from copyrighted works. Use clips for personal, fair-use purposes only. You are responsible for ensuring your use of saved content complies with applicable copyright and other laws.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes will be noted in the extension's changelog.

요약

TextClip은 사용자의 개인 데이터를 수집·전송·외부 서버에 저장하지 않습니다. 모든 클립, 폴더, 설정은 사용자의 Chrome 프로필 내 로컬 저장소에만 보관되며, 사용자가 직접 내보내기 하지 않는 한 기기를 떠나지 않습니다.

1. 수집하는 정보

없음. TextClip은 어떠한 개인정보, 사용 분석, 텔레메트리도 수집하지 않습니다. 외부 서버, 계정 시스템, 트래킹이 일체 없습니다.

2. 데이터 저장 방식

• 모든 클립·폴더·AI 프롬프트는 브라우저의 IndexedDB와 chrome.storage.local을 통해 로컬에 저장됩니다.
• 데이터는 이 기기의 Chrome 프로필에 종속됩니다. 기기 간 자동 동기화는 지원하지 않습니다.
• Chrome 프로필을 삭제하거나 TextClip을 제거하면, 백업하지 않은 데이터는 영구적으로 사라집니다.

3. 요청 권한

• contextMenus — 우클릭 메뉴에 "TextClip에 저장" 항목 추가
• storage / unlimitedStorage — 클립을 용량 제한 없이 로컬에 저장
• notifications — 저장 완료 등 상태 알림 표시
• clipboardWrite — AI 요약 프롬프트를 클립보드에 복사하여 사용자가 원하는 AI 서비스에 붙여넣기 가능하게 함

TextClip은 사용자의 방문 기록, 쿠키, 비밀번호, 또는 방문 사이트의 콘텐츠에 대한 접근 권한을 요청하지 않습니다.

4. AI 요약 기능

TextClip의 "AI 요약" 기능은 클립보드를 매개체로 사용합니다. AI 요약 버튼을 클릭하면 선택된 프롬프트와 클립 내용이 사용자의 클립보드에 복사되며, 사용자가 직접 원하는 AI 서비스(ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude 등)에 붙여넣어 사용합니다. TextClip은 어떠한 AI 서비스에도 데이터를 직접 전송하지 않으며, API 키 또한 요구하지 않습니다.

5. 데이터 공유

데이터가 기기를 떠나지 않으므로 제3자와 공유할 정보가 없습니다. TextClip은 어떠한 사용자 데이터도 판매·임대·공유하지 않습니다.

6. 아동 개인정보

TextClip은 13세 미만 아동을 대상으로 하지 않습니다. 연령에 관계없이 어떤 정보도 의도적으로 수집하지 않습니다.

7. 사용자 책임

TextClip으로 저장한 콘텐츠에는 저작권 보호 대상이 포함될 수 있습니다. 클립은 개인적· 공정 이용 범위 내에서만 사용해주시기 바라며, 저장된 콘텐츠 사용에 대한 저작권 등 관련 법규 준수는 사용자 본인의 책임입니다.

8. 정책 변경

본 정책은 필요에 따라 변경될 수 있습니다. 상단의 "최종 수정" 일자가 가장 최근 개정일을 나타냅니다. 중요한 변경 사항은 확장 프로그램의 변경 로그에 기재됩니다.
